A valid driver's license and a major credit card in the renter's name for the security hold. Renters under 25 may be subject to a young-driver surcharge. Visitors from outside North America can generally rent on a home-country license and passport, though an International Driving Permit is recommended.
Basic liability coverage is included as required by state or provincial law. Collision Damage Waiver and supplemental liability are optional. Many US credit cards already provide collision cover on rentals — worth checking yours before paying for it twice.
Full-to-full. You receive the vehicle with a full tank and return it full, or pay the refueling rate. Chauffeured bookings include fuel and tolls within the quoted price.
Because an honest daily rate depends on your city, your dates, how long you keep the vehicle, your mileage and your insurance choices. Publishing one number would mean advertising a figure most customers would not actually pay. We quote each request individually instead, usually within two business hours.
Travel into Canada is permitted on most vehicles with advance notice. Mexico requires separate Mexican auto insurance and is restricted on many classes — please ask before booking.
Yes, between most major cities. A one-way drop fee applies and varies by route. It appears in your written quote, never as a surprise at the counter.
